I have been looking for the solution to this problem for days now and
have found nothing. The total error is

ERROR: Creating templock /home/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg_1_26770: Permission
denied at ./mrtg line 1829.

The wording is understandable, isn't it?

The running mrtg.pl likes to *write* a file.
The file is called "mrtg.cfg_1_26770"
It likes to write in the folder "/home/mrtg/cfg/"
But it is not allowed to do so.

Is your MRTG running on Linux or Windows?

If Linux: as what user?
what are the rights to that directory?
